While we haven’t stayed at Oceans Mooloolaba ourselves, we have been lucky enough to spend an afternoon here after a family wedding recently. And this resort is incredible!
Right from the foyer through to the rooms, it feels luxurious and modern. And the rooms are incredible! The 3-bedroom deluxe suite with ocean view is the room we spent time in and it was massive. Full-size kitchen, dining room, couch and bathrooms. A good-sized balcony with table and chairs and all the comforts you would expect from a luxury resort on the beach.
The location is perfect too, right on the Mooloolaba Esplanade and across the street from the beach so you can enjoy all the restaurants and beautiful natural scenery easily.

We stayed at Dockside Apartments just recently (for that family wedding in Kawana) and it was a fantastic location. While the apartments are older and not as fancy as some of the resorts on this list, this is a great option if you are looking for something a little more budget-friendly for your family trip.
I forgot to take any photos inside the apartments, so instead I’ve shared the pool area.
Dockside Apartments are just a 5-minute walk to the Mooloolaba Wharf so you can take a quick walk for a meal or a snack (yes, those ice creams are good!) or walk to SEA LIFE Aquarium! It’s also close to the Esplanade and Mooloolaba Beach, which is a lifeguard-patrolled beach and very popular.
The rooms are really spacious, with lots of modern furnishings and storage, plus a kitchen. It actually felt like a home away from home with all the little touches, like an air fryer and a coffee pod machine. Rooms accommodate up to 6 guests.
We were in a ground-floor apartment, which had a furnished courtyard in the front and the back and gate access to the pool and BBQ area. Simon’s parents and brother were in the room above us which had two large balconies. There were 3 televisions in our 2-bedroom apartment too – one in each bedroom plus the living room.
The kids got plenty of entertainment from the cheeky bush turkey that was making a mess in the gardens too.
The pool is older but heated and more than adequate to keep the kids happy for several hours while I switched between the pool and reading on the sun lounge. It also has free guest parking and they can organise an airport shuttle for you.
We would be happy to stay here again!

The complex is immaculately maintained and the staff are extremely friendly, professional and approachable, which all added up to this facility living up to our expectations of the ‘Peppers’ brand. The lift in the apartment building was slow, however as we were only one level above parking, we used the stairs instead. Otherwise we couldn’t fault ‘Peppers’. – Jock
