If you are looking for all inclusive resort luxury right on the beach,Now Larimar Punta Cana ticks all the boxes!! We had the most incredible five night stay with our kids during our visit to the Dominican Republic in the spring.
Our girls adored their stay at Now Larimar Punta Cana and our eldest still reminisces being served juice without even getting out of the pool! It’s the little things…
It was a work based incentive trip that took us to Now Larimar Punta Cana in April this year. Find out why you should stay at Now Larimar Resort Punta Cana for your next visit!
NOW LARIMAR PUNTA CANA
There is so much to love about the Punta Cana Now Larimar! Especially following on from the not so flash, budget accommodation we spent our first 2 nights at on arrival in the Dominican Republic. Yikes! What a contrast!
Right from the moment you arrive at Now Larimar Punta Cana, the incredible service and attention to detail is apparent. Friendly check in service followed by a mini tour as we are escorted to our room by the bellboy. We knew straight away we were going to enjoy our time!
We love all inclusive resorts! They aren’t always in the budget, however they are so easy… especially when travelling with kids! No need to worry about where to eat while on holiday or how to get there. No hangry (hungry/angry) meltdowns while they wait, since one of the restaurants at the resort was a buffet!
All inclusive resorts tend to have different levels of inclusions, with some just meals. Others meals and basic drinks. And then there’s Now Larimar Punta Cana… premium alcoholic beverages and drinks and all but one of the resort restaurants included.
There’s a cuisine or dining style to suit every taste, plus 24 hour room service as well!! Here’s the options:
Bluewater Grill – Seafood & Steakhouse
Barefoot Grill – Beachside grill & burgers
Carnival International Cafe – Buffet
Castaways – Beachside restaurant
Coco Cafe – Coffee & snacks
Mercure – French cuisine
Spice – Asian cuisine
Tamarindo – Mexican cuisine
All these options with the add on of top shelf premium alcoholic beverages, soft drink, juice, tea and coffee! And as mentioned above, yes even in the pool! Swim up or poolside bars at every pool area! So awesome.
And if you happened to be travelling minus the kiddies, there is also a nightclub and several bars around the resort too!
Now Larimar Punta Cana has 540 rooms with various levels of luxury. We were in the Preferred Club section so our family room had 2 large beds, a couch and a large spa bath. Some of the rooms even have balcony spas, beach or pool views.
The rooms come with stocked mini bars with juice, water, soft drink and beer. All inclusive of course! And the service is exceptional, with regular cleaning and changing of towels or bed turn down services. You really do feel like you’re in total luxury.
Although beware of the freshly mopped tiles… they can be a tad slippery, especially for small people!
There is no shortage of things to do at Now Larimar Punta Cana. There are several pools around the resort, with shallow and deeper sections, and ledges around the edge suitable for the youngsters who aren’t so confident. There are also built in sunbeds and over water hammocks in some of the pools too.
Or if its white sand and crystal blue waters you crave, Punta Cana and Bavaro Beach do deliver! Set right on the beach, you can enjoy lazing on a sun lounge with a cocktail in hand. Or take a dip in the ocean.
One notable thing we read before travelling to Punta Cana was the fact that the beaches were rather covered in seaweed and could be quite messy and ugly. Yes we saw seaweed. No it didn’t take away from the beauty of the beach. We believe resort staff do a bit of a clean up early in the day to remove some of the overnight impacts of nature, but it really wasn’t so bad. The beaches were gorgeous!
Plus they make for some pretty impressive sand castle canvases… check out these masterpieces:
For the kids, there is a kids club that starts early in the morning and runs until late at night – The Explorer’s Club. No adults allowed! You drop the kids off at the front and the lovely staff take great care of them and fill their days with adventure. They give you a pager in case they need to reach you.
The staff take the kids to meals if they are there over meal time, across the path to the buffet restaurant. A couple of times our eldest was at kids club over meal time and we intentionally dined at the same time to spot her. She pretended she didn’t know us in case we checked her out of kids club already haha Kids!!
Our youngest was too little for kids club just yet, but they did let her stay for a half hour play still which was really nice as she loves being with the big kids and can certainly hold her own, even at just under 2 at the time of our stay.
Each night in the main courtyard area near the lobby there is an entertainment program which is full of music, dancing, and more. Unfortunately we only got to enjoy it on one night as our youngest was unwell the first couple of days with a nasty cold so she was pretty tired and miserable at night. Plus we had a few events on with our incentive group too. But on the night we did go, it was pretty awesome!
A band, singing, dancing and performing… plus an adorable half hour dance contest for the kids club kiddies on the stage. Our girls got to join in even though they hadn’t been at kids club at the time. The cutest and great fun! You don’t really even need to leave the resort during your stay as everything is right there!!
We did have one half day trip away from the resort during our stay to the nearby Monkeyland to meet some adorable squirrel monkeys. If you love wildlife, we highly recommend it!
Unwind at the Day Spa
Like most luxury resorts, there is a day spa on site at Now Larimar Punta Cana and it offers all the pampering and relaxation you could want. There is a large outdoor spa and day beds to relax on before or after your treatment, a freezing cold plunge pool… trust me… FREEZING!! And the chance to treat yourself to a massage or a facial or one of the other spa treatments.
I love a massage and pamper, so I usually do splurge a little when we are on holiday for a massage. This time was no different, while the kids instead enjoyed buffet breakfast with their dad and our eldest went for some kids club fun.
Now Larimar Punta Cana All Inclusive resort is a wonderful family friendly all inclusive resort in a beautiful location, along Bavaro Beach. Enjoy beach front views or garden views, depending on where your room is located and have the ease of all your meals and drinks included in the cost of your accommodation.
The resort is central to downtown Punta Cana as well and easily accessible to the Punta Cana International Airport as well. It is a great chance to enjoy the beautiful Dominican Republic with a little bit of luxury included.
Now Larimar Punta Cana has exceptional service, attentive staff and is very family friendly with activities and facilities aimed at younger guests as well. We highly recommend it for a family vacation and would gladly visit again!
